What is the difference between over load current and over current???

My book simply says BOTH of these are simply excess current that is greater than the design current for the circuit that will cause the fuse to rupture or the protective device to trip.

Help any one!!!

Overload is excess current in a heathly circuit, eg, a stuck motor, or someone plugging in an excess number of electric heaters.

Overcurrent is a more general term that covers both this and fault currents

I thought there was some overlap, just read another book that gave a good clear difference, cheers
