what ladders do I use

hi All
I have agreed to assist my mother in re painting her house. I can't quite reach the facias under the guttering with a normal ladder and if i use a extended pole i get paint all over. can someone advise on what sort of ladders i should use please. I was thinking A frame with a board across and a extended pole.

You need some ladders that will put your head fairly close to the soffit, otherwise you make a right mess.

shouldn't be working off ladders..

ladders are for access to working platforms only.. it's not safe to hang off a ladder with one hand whilst trying to paint with another..

hire some scaffolding..

It is not safe to do a lot of things but, (shock, horror) people still do.

If you need to ask what sort of ladder to use, then i guess you're not a frequent user of them and would strongly suggest getting a tower in, and set up for you.
