I have a bedroom door lining that my professionals left unfinished in my '24 refurb. The door is a lovely fit but light leaks out of the boiler and digital shower control cupboard that it services.

I need to put in some door stops. I have a load of ply of various thicknesses but was wondering what the best material to use?

a ) Traditional 12mm x 32mm whitewood door stops

b) 12mm plywood cut and sanded

c) 12mm MDF

Regards

Tet

PS Finish will be white painted

MDF can be an effort to get the cut edges smooth with filler.
Ply is worse
Id use soft wood.

Place 2mm packer between door and door stop when you nail on.
