I would like to round off the edge of a desk I built. What round-off router cutter (1/2" shank) diameter would you recommend for this job? Would this router cutter do the job?
TIA.

Is your router a 1/2” one?
This one will leave a decorative detail and you will need to consider whether you need rounded corners

if you want to round the edge off to a 3mm radius, then yes - use a climb cut will lower the chance of breaking the grain

for a 3mm radius I think sandpaper stuck on to a semi round concave surface would be just as good.

It will, but recommending using a climb cut on someone asking novice questions about using a hand held router is IMO not a good idea. Climb cuts can be hazardous and must be used with extreme caution.

Personally, for a 3mm round, I'd use a low angle block plane and sandpaper
