What System ?

I have been an avid reader of these forums and picked up some useful tips.

One thing is confusing me is the different sort of heating system Open Vented; Gravity etc. as I am not sure what sort I have, so hopefully someone can tell me.

I have a Suprima 40L boiler and pump in the kitchen and in the upstairs airing cupboard I have a pressure gauge; Filling Loop, Hot water tank, smaller tank and a round red disc looking thing (bit like a car air filter)

Hopefully that is enough for someone to tell me what I had as it would be useful to know when it comes to solving future problems

Sounds like a sealed system with the red expansion tank and filling loop in your airing cupboard.

Make sure you keep the pressure set to just over 1 Bar when system is cold

Thanks Dave,

Pressure seems pretty constant around 1.2bar when cold.

Are there any problems particularly associated with sealed systems that I need to keep any eye on ?
