Hi Guys
I've installed 4 x "grundtal" 12v max 10 watt down lights in the kitchen from ikea. The transformer has blown. I would like to replace it with a dimmable one.
What do I ask for?

A dimmable 12v transformer rated at least 40watts

Most small ones are rated at 60watts (60VA)

Every shed and electrical wholesaler/retailer sell them. Don't know if they will fit in your housing though.

Don't they come with a wall-wart?

(obviously one of a different design in the UK)

Where is the existing one connected?

How will you connect a new transformer to the lighting circuit?

Are you aware of this?

don't know which light he has.. the grundtal range is quite extensive..
however the 3 spot set says 3.5m from plug to transformer and 3.5m from transformer to lights..

best bet would bo to go back to ikea and see if they do just the transformer.. or buy anoter set... they're only £15 the set... :)
