What to do with non refundable bulk bags?

I've just ordered 3 bulk bags of coarse sand, and been charged 12 quid for non refundable/non refundable bags.

I'll have no use for them once the sand has been removed, but it seems a shame to bin them. Any ideas on what can be done with them, or who they could be donated to?

Landscape gardeners seem to appreciate dumpy bags for transporting grass clippings and brash, etc.

my partner has a horse, she's always asking me to save her the odd one.
so maybe try local stables

I've actually got a waiting list now for my discarded tonne sacks.

You could advertise them on Freecycle.

I have used them as a permeable membrane that is underground. They are a lot cheaper(!) then the proper "landscape " fabric. Bit of a s*d to cut up though.

If that don't work - leave them outside your house with a bit of copper pipe sticking out - they'll soon go .

Or a stack of tyres.
