What type of varnish will make pine look like beech?

I'm making a shelf which is attached to a counter with a beech worktop. I really need to try and find a varnish which will blend the pine with beech, and take the pink/yellow tinge out.
Is this possible??

no varnish or clear finnish will make pine look like beech
you can give it a beech colour but the grain will off course be wrong
