    I need a room done but gow do i know im getting a good quote or not?
    Would anyone be able to tell how much i should be expecting to pay for this work.

    Ok so.
    I need all walls 4 skimming.
    Ceiling needs overboarding and ofc, skimming

    Room is 9' (2750) X 12'6" (3810)
    One door, one window

    The tradesmen on here are helping people in their own spare time, because someone didn't get back to you within 10 mins is not a Que for you to have a go at someone.

    You didn't even mention what you have been quoted anyway.

    I was trying to say what I may charge say £700 for would cost you £1700 in London.
    get a few quotes from local plasterers and come back.

    I reckon that's two days work for one man (day one board and skim ceiling, day 2 walls). I pay £150 a day plus materials so would expect about £400.

    that’s a hell of a lot of hassle for £300 .
    if you can get it at bsr’s price i’d rip their arm off.
    personally I think your looking at double that for a decent job . i’d be seriously concerned if a plasterer told me he could do that in 2 days.
