hi guys,
have this filter? fitted on the incoming mains, just after the stock-cock..
and noticed it is dripping fairly regularly

I think it's some kind of filter .. although not sure why the top-half spurs outside also?
-anyone know what it is- brand/make ?
thanks in advance

Looks like an older Megaflop's inlet multibloc control set - Do you have an unvented HW cylinder? If so you need a qualified (G3/UVHW) chap(ess) in to change it over for you. The cylinder could probably do with a service check too, if that valves anything to go by.

Spot on.
Absolutely right.. we have a Megaflo unvented hw cylinder and quick search reveals it is the multibloc (y)

Didn't know these cylinders required periodic checks to be honest.. over 10 years old.. so any points in particular to look for / check ?

Will get our plumber to change over multibloc at same time

Nothing specific that can really be discussed on an open forum, as it's regulated work then it's not really a DIY exercise I'm afraid. All the required stuff would be in the MI.

Ideally though you would have a qualified bod in to check it all and do the multibloc change .... just ensure they are qualified to do the work and check their ticket.
