I wonder if, with the rather sad state of our roads, (and equally sad state of our exchequer!) we'll start seeing a move back to higher profile tyres? The only thing is that these low profile ones do sharpen up the car's handling. I'm driving a modern diesel MPV at present and it turns-in like a sportscar of 20 or 30 years ago! I used to be very fond of big Citroens (even had a very old "red fluid" DS once!) but for all their good points, you couldn't really say they were "nimble"!
