I've double coated my walls and plan to fit the architrave and skirting next.
Do I paint the skirting, architraves and then caulk or should it be done in a different order?

My walls and woodwork is white.

Thanks in advance.

Fill any large gaps in skirting.
Undercoat then caulk.
When you're happy no more filling or another caulk is required, second undercoat over the caulk.

Caulk likes a sealed surface so on wood and bare plaster it's not always the best surface to caulk. Some do and it fine however, best to undercoat then caulk.

In the past, I’ve caulked at the end. Admittedly there was no big gaps. It sounds like, it needs to be done before the finishing paint coat.
