I have a bedroom that is 2.4m x 4.6m and the door entrance is is an area to the side of the long length of 1.2m x 0.6m (so L shaped)

I want to lay a laminate floor where should I start the long length or the small door area??

I have layed floors before in 5 other rooms but they were all boxed shaped.

It should be run parallel to the longest wall.

If the room is square, 'I' tend to run it perpendicular to the door (wood that is, I have never used laminate).

Thank you for your reply, but what I want to know is do I start laying a the long wall and finish at the small door area or start at the small door area and finish at the long wall.
