I've had wood flooring installed in my hallway and am having carpet fitted on the stairs tomorrow. To get the best finish how should the carpet fitters be dealing with the point where the bottom step and the carpet meets the wood flooring ? The wood flooring has a 10mm expansion gap to the bottom of the step so is not flush.
