From the pic could anyone kindly advise regarding my boundary line, would it be line 1 or 2?

Neither.
Your wall has been built into your property, so most likely you own the land along the neighbour wall, further up in the picture.

needs more info.
Like the plan from the registry office, this can be obtained for under a fiver and gives better info.
Also the boundary cannot generally be measured exactly, it is where both neighboring property owners agree it is and can easily be several inches/feet away from title plans.

That's a thick wall.

Did you build this wall last week, or has it been there for centuries or before the house? It might be relevant.

Property boundaries can't be determined from two regular polygons.

Get the deeds/plan of both properties from the Land Registry, else provide more details of the site and age and buildings

How old is the wall? If relatively recent (10, 20, 30 years??) it should be possible to establish who owns it and where the boundary is either within the wall or which side of the wall? As time passes, and if there is a possibility the wall has been rebuilt, things get more uncertain. As a cursory look, I'd say johnny2007 is probably right.

The property was built in the 60 70s

The title register has the attached pic

To the left of the wall is our garden to the right/other side we want to erect a fence along the wall but wanted to know where our boundary line would be in order to ensure we place the concrete posts correctly

Can you post some photo's of the area of the garden under question please. Show as much of the area as possible.

The boundary would seem to in line with that flank wall of the house, and perpendicular to the front and rear elevations
