Where's my water meter!?

Hello,

I've just moved into a new house where the water board tell me I have a water meter.

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to where I might find it?! I've looked around and can't see any sign of it!

best to take a reading so you know the starting point otherwise if they misread the meter and over charge you you wont know the difference

Ours is in the garage where the water supply comes out of the floor - it has a sender on the outside wall of the garage so they don't need to see it to read it.
