I'm going to lay some 22mm thick limestone flags in our entrance porch. However I'm a bit unsure as to the best method of fixing them. The floor is a reasonably level concrete pad.

Mortar is one option and obviously an appropriate adhesive is another(recommendations welcome).

I was erring on the side of a dryish mortar fairly lean mix 10:1 however I've only got about 5mm of depth to play with and my concern would be that that's not enough depth for the mortar and may fail over time. Is that reasonable or not?

If so and adhesive is the way to go then any recommendations?

thanks

Definately adhesive, powedered and if they are light in colour, white.

Unless they are very flat you may struggle with only 5mm though

Thanks for your reply

the flags were machined uniform and I went with mapei rapid set flexible grey adhesive, worked a treat :)
