Which blow torch

Hi Guys,
Got a cheap blow torch at the moment, gas is running out.

I'm planning on fitting a new bathroom etc later this year. I'm thinking I'll be better off buying a better torch as I know I will be soldering joints under floor boards.

I current torch is fine until you tilt it close to 90 degrees then it flames out. Obviously I'm not a pro, so don't want to shell out loads of money on a torch that I'm probably only going to use a few times a year.

Can anyone recommend a half decent torch for soldering 15 /22mm pipe under the floor?

Thanks for that. I was hoping to find maybe one that is a bit cheaper but almost as good. I'll only be using it for DIY jobs.

But if that's the one to get I'll get that one. Will probably outlast me.

Anyone know what the Monument 3450G one is like?

Looks very similar to the Roth.

Monument do so okay plumbing tools, never owned or used one of there blow torches though. So cannot comment on that product.

I've read some of the reviews regarding the Monument one and they seem good, one person even saying they preferred it to their Roth.

For the light use it is going to get from me it might be ok.

I needed to get a new gas torch and was all set to buy a Rothenburger - the dealer never had one in stock so (reluctantly at the time) I bought the Monument torch.

Have to say I'm glad I did as it's been faultless so far and quite a bit cheaper - too early to say about longevity yet as it's still quite new but I often hear blokes say their Roth torch only lasted 18 month etc.

Thanks Guys, Just ordered the Monument one with gas for just over £40.
I'll let you know how I get on. Hopefully it will last a long time with the limited use I'm going to give it.
