i intend to have a £500 splash out on clothes etc then not use anymore, will put money aside each month to pay off in 0% interest time, i do currently have bank account and mortgage etc as sum 1 asked. tesco looks best
utterly and absolutley the wrong thing to do.
do not get a credit card
£500 interest free for a year then 30% ish a year??
to pay your card off in a year cost £500 after a year £500 with 1 years interest at 30% = average 15% after 12 payments
assuming no interest brought forward from the first year thats £500 +15% =575 if you have to add on the first years interest because you havent payed it off in full [a common situation ]it goes on top and you need to pay interest on interest
so your first years interest would be 575 then second year as youve paid nowt will be an average off 15% over the year [plus the extra interest on the first year as the average would be over 2 years = 30% more a year]that would be around £700 as you would now have to pay compound interest over 2 years
why on earth would you want to pay over 40% more for your clothing

if you are desperate get a bank or other loan at around 14% and pay around £600 over 2 years at £25 a month rather than £30 on going for years
or start and buy clothes at the rate of £30 a month for a year and have £360 worth off clothes as opposed to £214 worth because you chose a card
or after 3 years you will have £1100 worth off clothes without a card at no additional cost compared to up to £1000 out goings with the credit card and only £650 worth off clothes dependant on interest rates
