WHICH FINISH IS BEST?

I am in the process of sanding my parquet floor in the living room, as I want to either oil or wax it. I'm not sure which is the best way to go or what what products to use. What are the pros and cons of wax vs oil? I don't want to stain it as the wood looks really nice as is. Any suggestions would be greatfully received.

Applying just wax on a bare sanded wood floor is a lot of work: you need to apply at least 4 - 5 layers (and leave 'soaking in' time in between) before the floor is really protected for the long term.
