Whirlpool Bottom Main Oven Stopped Working

Hi,

Our integral Whirpool Main bottom oven has stopped working.

TypeFCSm9 Model AKP161/IX

The top small oven was switched on and was running for 10 mins.
The bottom larger main oven was also then switched on ok but after 5 mins our consumer unit RCD tripped out.
On resetting the RCD, the top oven was working ok but the bottom oven no longer heating up.
However, its fan was working at the back.

I'm guessing the heater element has gone.

Any other suggestions?

If I am right, how easy are heater elements to change?

Sounds like the element has popped. Quite an easy job to do. Most are replaced from inside the oven, normally behind a cover held with a few screws.
