We have just got a new trannie, drives a treat, only problem is, when driving at reasonable speed,ie; 60 -70ish, a whistling noise comes from the top front of both doors - and it drives you round the twist!!. At first we thought it might have been the ladder rails on top, but the front one is behind where the noise seems to come from. I know the 1st stop would be the dealers, but I thought I might get more sense from this forum, so, any ideas? cheers all.

awww.. now that's not what I was expecting when I clicked on the topic.. blatant false advertising.. :)

Sounds as though the seals are defective or the doors out of shape. Mark the edges of the seals with chalk or something, shut the door and see if they are touching the frame all over. In the 'olden days' we would bend the top of the door in, opening the window first, but if its fairly new you might not want to try this.

Try sliding a sheet of paper between the door frame and the seals...it should be gripped all the way with the door shut.
If it doesn't, the dealer fix is one knee on the door inside, and pull like hell on the window frame
John :)

Coljack, Nice one, had to chuckle at that, I`ll try not to lead anyone on like that again!
