I said it. However it was borrowed from an American Senator who said. There is no room in this country of our for hyphenated Americanism. What I mean is If you wish to make England your home then do as the English do. When in Rome.......... This is not, directly or indirectly a racist comment.
 
I couldn't agree more. I have always thought "When in Rome etc".

As far as I am concerned, we should welcome people from abroad, just the same as they should us. However, we always have to embrace the cultures of the countries we visit and they should do the same.

I do not believe that we should have to change our laws and ways of life to suit others just as they shouldn't have to for us.

I have lived abroad and would never have wished for that country to have changed its ways for me.
