We have recently had a new Worcester combi-boiler installed. However, we have now decided to update our prehistoric citrus yellow bathroom with a new bathroom suite, which will include removing the existing radiator to fit a towel radiator. I will be carrying out the installation and renovation work of the bathroom myself. I think it is inevitable that all the amendments and disruption to the pipe-work are going to create airlocks on both the central heating and the hot water systems. My questions are:
Firstly, do you think these airlocks will occur?
Secondly, if the airlocks do occur, could they cause damage to the new boiler?
Lastly, is there an easy way to remove the airlocks from the system, or better still prevent them from happening in the first place?
Many thanks to those who take the time to reply.
