I see the armchair generals reluctant to say their predictions. Lots to say on the subject but avoid direct questions where they could be proven wrong. Interesting.
Not worth commenting on til tomorrow as they can't even agree on what the terms are, or at least Iran can't. But worth noting the US has pushed some warships through the straits as a '**** you' gesture. That suggests the talks are going well, or at least in our favour.
By 'our favour', Obviously I'm not referring to the majority of terrorist supporting scum that infiltrate this forum.

I think today was more just introductions and pleasantry's before tomorrow when they will start. For them all to be in the same room together is encouraging. I doubt anything meaningful will come out of them though.

The United States military command that oversees the Middle East (CENTCOM) has said that two of its ships have travelled through the Strait of Hormuz, a claim swiftly denied by Iran.
Same old though, we are fed stories from one side and then the opposit from the other side.

If it's true, it's a provocation typical of USA during supposed peace talks.
One would normally expect either the status quo to be respected, or the slight retreat from the aggressors.
And it's a silly manoeuvre. If the talks fail they've either sailed themselves into a corner, or it's an attempt to station themselves near Kharg Island, which could turn out to be equally sacrificial.
Maybe they're inviting a re-run of the previous episodes of the Cuban stand-off or the Bay of Pigs, or the Gulf of Tonkin incident.
The re-run of the Gulf of Tonkin incident could easily be fabricated.
I think there will be an agreement, this weekend doubtful, but soon because a) Trump claims he's not bothered either way, Trump speak for 'nothing to do with him', and b) global opinion on the Lebanon-Israeli war and USA's involvement, (not to mention Gza and the West Bank)
Has Trump been told to take a backseat?
There's obviously confusion and chaos in the White House, including the First Lady's speech.
How can sailing through globally recognised international waters be considered provocative?
21 hours solid of talks, sounds like Iran wouldn't back down on the US red line of not producing nukes. Probably best the US re-engage sooner rather than later because there's a shedload of rockets on their way from China.

You mean like Russian ships hanging about in the English Channel?
If it's not provocative, why the consternation? You can't use and abuse the words in one scenario without them applying to the same scenario, but in a different location.
It's not possible to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without using the territorial waters of Iran. (rather like the English Channel and French or English waters0
And Iran has mined some of the Strait to ensure ships do pass through the territorial waters of Iran.
