Having a debate with the mrs about floor finish to douggy fir timber floor boards which are going down next week.

Having looked about there seems to be divided opinion.

My good lady seems to think HWO will show up water stains - from what I have read this doesn't seem quite right although think this is what happened in our old house (but not sure if we used the right product though - imight of been just bees wax?).

I have done a clear matt diamond varnish on timber floor before and looked ok but a bit DIYish- It seems the HWO is easier to apply and get a good finish.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

After applying HardWaxOil it needs 10 days to fully cure (it will be dry and you can walk over it within 4 - 6 hours). During this time spillage can show as white splashes.

After this time it should not stain
