Windows XP Media player.

Hi, is it possible to uninstal my version of windows media player.

Reason being, i have the latest version at the moment and if i use it say, to play music and run other progs my comp basiacally freezes.

When i had older versions installed i didn't have this problem.

Granted, my cpu is old > 850 <, but would this affect the running of this ?

Are you on Windows XP? If so, can you not just do a system restore to a point before you updated to the latest media player? Or was it some time ago?

Yes its XP, and yes i probably could do a restore, but like a fool, and i know i should back everything up, i havnt so wont i loose all of my recent info on my system.
