It depends on the length of the cable and how it is installed, i.e. clipped direct / near or through insulation, ambient temp, grouped with other cables etc, also please note installing a shower / uprating a circuit breaker should be notified to your LABC.
How will the cable be run? will it be in insulation at any point? Will it be chopped into the wall? Will it be run in trunking or conduit? How long is the total run of cable from the CU to the shower? What sort of cable is it?
Chances are you will need to use 10mm² cable for your shower. This will also allow you (or future occupiers) to upgrade to a lager shower at a later date should you want to without the need to rewire again.
