hi...i recently put a post on here regarding wiring 2 doorbells off 1 transformer..they did not work as suggested by wiring off the 1a transformer..i managed to get it working by replacing the old 1a transformer with a new 2a transformer...works perfectly now but i have used bell wire to connect the 2 doorbell units together..is this adequate and safe to carry upto 2 amps or can i use 4 core telephone cable or something similar..maybe 0.5mm cable....thanks

Bell wire is used to connect door bells.
You have used it to connect door bells.
It is called bell wire
It must therefore be suitable for the purpose.

Bell wire is normally 2 cores, each being solid 0.5 anyway and should be ample.
I suggested you tried the two bells on the 1 amp and am surprised it failed.
I do apologise
We often work in shops with 2 or 3 underdome bells running ok.
What bells are you using.

bellwire can also be used to just connect the bell push to the bell unit which could be battery powered...i thought that maybe with transformer powered bells the current might be too high for the wire....thats what i was querying....
