Hi - I hope someone can help. I am possibly overthinking this but… my wife bought a new pendant and I’m confused by the wiring as I can only identify the earth wire on the light.

Does it matter which of the remaining two terminals I put the live and neutral in?

Thanks
Nick

Near the connector block, can you slide a fraction of the black sleeving back to reveal brown or blue insulation?

It looks brown on this side to me, but it would be nice to confirm that there is blue on the other, rather than anything that's purely decorative/functional.

...and what type are the lamp fittings/bulbs on the pendant?
Some fitting are safer than others, should live and neutral be reversed!

Thank you both for your excellent replies. I checked and yes, I identified and marked the brown and blue.

Nice work on zooming in on the pic RandomGrinch, you were spot on.

Many thanks
