Hi,

Ok I have decided to stick with gas hob with an electric single oven for my kitchen project. My old hob didn't have an electic ignition but I will obviously need to conect the new hob to the mains. Here is my question:- can I replace my existing electric cooker consumer unit with one that will have an additional connection to also supply my gas hob? If so can anyone tell me where to find such a model. If not, what is the prefered way wire the ignition circuit to the mains?

cheers for any help

Adam

How is the oven supplied? There might be an issue with that if its on a 32 amp or 40 amp supply, as its only a 13 amp appliance.
