I have bought a Reson8 alarm box to replace an old one because it had good reviews and says it "can be connected to any intruder panel.". My problem is there are 6 wires from the control panel bell + -, strobe + -, and two tamper wires.
The external box only shows 5 connections, Bell +-, Strobe - , Tamper return T- and tamper supply A-. (together with battery + -) I cannot see how to wire the control unit and external box together unless the strobe + and bell+ are wired together into the same connector.
Can anyone help? I am a pretty competent DIYer and have installed several hard wired systems in the past as well as a wireless system. I have and can use a multimeter if it helps.
