Be sure whatever you do to check where the 10mm bonding needs to go. It's possible you need to bond the gas and/or water in the kitchen.

If this is the case, the earth cables need running back to the original mains position.

@ghost32 It has not been mentioned as yet, with respect, and i am sorry to be pedantic about this:

The work you are describing is major work, creating a sub-main and several additional circuits.

All of this work is notifiable to the local authority. You can do this work as a DIY project, but you must
1. raise a builiding notice case with the LABC before you start
2. be in a position to design, install and test the work to BS7671 (you'll need calibrated test equipment and the knowledge of how to carry out the tests, interpret the results and complete an Electrical Installation Certificate) because you will than have to
3. Convince the building inspector that you have the competence to do the work in accordance with the Wiring regulations

if you are unable to do this (and the rather basic elementary nature of your original post make me suspect that you are not able enough)
then you need to engage the services of a registered electrician.
He may let you do some of the work under his guidance - you are going to need him for your re-waire in any case.

We had a new CU fitted that could accommodate the whole house and the new circuits terminated into this.

From this new board the old one was connected via a 63amp MCB, and a length of 16mm T+E.

As the renovation continued, new circuits were added to the new CU, and old ones re-routed and removed, until finally a month ago the old CU was completely removed.
