Hi guys I need to have a new shower put in. The new shower is exactly the same as the old one( which I fitted 5 years ago ) but is more powerful. I believe that I may need larger wiring (wider). Does anyone know if it will be expensive to have a new feed put in?by a qualified sparky. The new shower itself I will be able to do, as the existing plumbing, isolator switch etc. will all be the same coz the new unit connections are all the same just a bigger kw.
:)

How much bigger in kW is this new shower?
What size cable supplies it at present?
What rating is the protective device?
What rating is the isolating switch?
What route does the cable take in your house?
Is the circuit 30ma RCD protected?

Depends on the length of the run and also the size of the cable needed, depends on what the showers rated at e.g 8KW
