Wood burning stove with side windows, annoying flicker on walls?

We are placing a wood burning stove in the corner of the room.
We are looking at the http://www.contura.eu/english/stoves/Wood-Burning-Stoves/Wood-stove-Contura-556-style/ which has side windows.

However the guy in the shop said the side windows would create an annoying flickering / reflection on the walls, as it is in the corner.

Has anyone got this setup?

I reckon he's right TBH, plus there may be some additional non-combustable spacing requirements, given the heat that will come through the glass rather than radiating out.

within the frame off a fireplace yes but within a corner will dance all over the place

My thoughts as well. Plenty of people round my way have gardens but can't stand the sight of a leaf clearly, as fuking leaf blowers going here practically day and night.. WHHY??!

Just don't clean the side windows, they'll soon blacken-up! once you start burning

Joking aside, are you getting the soapstone version?

But this is part of the appeal of this fire, so it's not what the salesman says, it's do you want to be able to see the fire from the sides as well as the front. The soot will burn off when the fire runs hot, but if it was annoying, then you could paint the glass with a high temperature paint (1200C, not the 650 stuff) but that defeats the purpose of the object.
