Yep..

just spotted it

Worthing Borough Council's Wendy Knight said the owners of the cargo had appointed separate contractors to find a market for the timber.

She said over the coming weeks the timber would eventually be piled on an area of the beach from where buyers could collect it.
So nice to know the beach will be littered for weeks so that someone can extract a bit of profit....

be intrested to see what prices they sell it at, knowing what i can get decent stuff for at trade prices!

And will they really have security 24hrs for it?..

5x3? doesn't like like any decent sized dimensions that would make it worth the effort. I wonder where it was headed for initially?

Apparently us council tax payers will foot the bill, and the council 'hopes' it will get the money back from the insurance companies within 5 years!!

WTF didn't they just allow people to take it, in a controlled way, which would cost a fraction of the amount!

But of course, they'll always have the 'Health & Safety' regs to hide behind...

As if This wasn't going to happen...

Firefighters are tackling a large fire in wood that was washed ashore on a West Sussex beach.
Nearly 50 firefighters were called to the blaze at Worthing which is believed to have been started on purpose.

There were fears the fire would spread to nearby wood piles and beach huts but crews were aided by an offshore breeze
Of course the huts wouldn't have been at risk if the numpty's hadn't piled up the wood right next to them... ;)
