I am looking to replace an old door as my neighbours son has broken the glass in the door and after 6 weeks nothing has been done about it. Any ideas as to the cost of getting the a wooden gate (lockable) fitted to the alleyway?

If the door is sound could you not just replace the glass or even just cover it up with a sheet of ply? Other than that as to cost , measure it , go to your local shed/merchant and check out the price and either fit it yourself or pay someone to do it which would be £20- £60 depending on the amount of work.
Shouldn't have glass in it especially around children.
He is 15, so not exactly small....and it is our alley, they live on the end so should access the rear of the property via the other side of their house. :S
So no patio doors or shopfronts, greenhouses or any other low level glass then?
