HI My boiler has just started to ignite with quite a loud thud,changed nozzle and checked oil/air settings but nothing seems to alter it,any help would be very welcome.

Check the position of the electrodes...if they are too far back for example, ignition isn't immediate and can cause a thump.

Have you checked flueways & baffles for obstructions? If it's BF version check air duct is clear. There is also a non-return valve behind nozzle on these which opens under pump pressure (but not found one faulty yet). Assuming correct nozzle pump press & air settings & CO2 readings.
