Hi folks

Decided to get a flush done on my system and had all kinds of brown water coming out my hot tap as well s a bad taste in the cold water.

The plumber suggested it may be cross contaminated. somehow

the system would not empty and it looks as though it was filling itself up from somewhere, we had to turn the water of from outside the house to empty the system

can anyione give me an idea how this is happening, a total novice here guys so take it easy

Possible hole in your hot water cylinder coil if you have you one which is mixing rad water with your hot, although this would not affect your cold direct mains.

Yeah do that, then you may need to find an independant engineer anyway. Followed them on to jobs where they haven't managed to solve the problem.
