Worcester Boiler no hot water

Hmmm
Now I use the bath / shower every day and can’t remember.

When a plumber installs a bathroom is there a rule of thumb for which side is hot and cold or so they just install either way.

This was fitted by a plumber so just a way of checking.
Need to see if I have any photos of before now.

Pretty much industry standard ,hot on the left ,cold on the right on taps, however it's not a hard and fast rule .
Swap the indices over and all is well.
You can be forgiven for not realising as you have only been using the tap for 5 years

What an idiot.
Found an old photo.

I obviously mixed them up when doing the washers.

Sorry to waste your time guys but many thanks for all the replies.

Think I will get back under that stone now.

For interest, how do you control the shower temperature?, does the lever act as a volume control and manually mix the hot/cold water to give the correct temperature or is there a TMV and where is it?

Morning.

The only purpose of the lever is to send water to the bath tap or shower head nothing else.

I turn the water on and depending on temp just use whichever tap to the desired heat.

There is nothing fancy about the photo.
Either water at bath or at shower head.
Then control temp by turning back hot tap or turning cold tap on more.
It’s all manual operation controlled by the user.
