Hi all,
looking for some advice on a problem i've got with the boiler which is approx 10 years old. When we run the hot water it occasionally cuts out and the red warning light flashes. Turn the boiler off and back on and all is fine. Sometimes it may not do it at all but other times it will do it 3 to 4 times. Quite annoying and the wife is getting fed up with the shower going cold on her. Any advice or similar problems would be great. Sorry if this has been done to death already but couldn't find much on the search. Ta John.

It could be the diaphragm, or low BP and could well need a service too.

Need to know which warning light is coming on. The radiator one, tap one or both?

Diaphragm won't cause a fault light

even with fault codes.would probably be best getting an rgi as a fault code on these boilers could send you up a different path.and tests need making.and not someone who just reads the fault finding chart at the back of the manual as gospel.as trust me in the MIs on this boilers instance, you could change the pcb. but end up being the gas valve.it gives you an option

Typical Worcester fault finding then, go round the houses, blame the board then fnd it's something completely different

hi. it's the hot water light flashing. no probs with the heating side of things. ta for the quick replies. john

Sounds like an air pressure fault. Tubes split by fan. tubes restricted or faulty air pressure switch. Get an RGI in.
