Would it be ok to mount the stat in the kitchen, as this is the coldest room in the house.. we spend most of are time in there, so we would get most use of the pre room temp settings.
I've had to mount my WB DT10RF in the kitchen, as the range is so poor that if I put it anywhere further from the boiler (in a more conventional location such as the lounge or dining room, for example) then the receiver keeps losing it's signal.
In it's current location, the stat is around 9m from the boiler and the signal has to pass through an external wall (ie. 2 layers of brick) due to the fact that the boiler is located in a single storey extension.
My advice is to try your stat in it's chosen location for a few weeks, before screwing it to the wall !
