Need a new boiler. Just been recommended a Worcestor bosch 30 cdi regular (not condensing) boiler. Guy said that this needs 3/4 inch pipe rather than 1/2 inch pipe. He says this means running the pipe from the gas meter in the garden all the way round the house to where the boiler is in the utility room. This could prove very expensive.

He says if we go with the Worcestor bosch 24cdi the existing 1/inch pipe would be ok. But he says for the size of house we have (9 radiators) this would be just a bit on the small side.

Does this sound right.

Get someone who will calculate correctly the required gas pipe size, if it is a fair distance you may find that the 30kw may need some 28mm tube. They don't do a 24cdi.

Every Worcester boiler has a 22mm gas connection on the manifold.

15 pipe will not surfice for a Worcester Combi in a million years and as was said above you need to have your piperun calculated and sized correctly in order to ensure correct gas pressure going into the appliance
