HI I AM AN EXPERIENCED GAS SAFE ENGINEER BUT JUST WANT TO CHECK SOMETHING WITH U TECHIES IWANT TO INSTAL AN EXTERNAL 12 LITRE EXPANSION VESSEL TO 28CDI BECAUSE OF 9HR JOB IF FITTING INTERNAL ONE INO ICAN CONNECT TO ONE SIDE OF BOILER ON THE FLOW OR RETURN BUT DO I USE ROBO KIT AND INSTAL ANOTHER SAFETY DISSCHARGE AND FILL TO COLD MAIN MANY THANK MATTHAMPTON 39W

You just tee in your expansion vessel to the return...thats it tou already have a filling loop and prv on the boiler.
 
IF YOU ARE REALLY AN EXPERIENCED RGI, ASK THIS IN THE COBUSTION CHAMBER.

AND TURN YOUR CAPS LOCK OFF

Not trying to be funny, but the guy can't be that experienced to ask that question, this isn't aimed at other gas fitters on here cos we all know that. Just wouldn't want anyone else reading this thread to think we're all numpty's. :rolleyes:

I've taken even longer than that before now!, pump connectors stuck solid, o rings in iso valves leaking from the battering etc etc.

the only time I've taken that long for any boiler repair was for a back panel on a worcester 240. you know the one with the water running through it. Had to comepletley strip every part out of the boiler seperately then rebuild the whole thing. What joy!
boiler off the wall EVs, 2-3hrs usually.

is the 240 a **** then? back panel on a 350 is easy enough, 5 hours maybe.
