3. School Means poor kids
4. NHS Surcharge for NHS workers
5. Remote Voting
6. Primaru School kids back to School

The list of lies would fill the Encyclopedia Britannica.

You are driving following directions from your Satnav.

A few miles head of you a tree falls completely blocking the road.

What do you do when you get to the tree blocked road ?

A U turn maybe ?

Would you say your Satnav had been lying to you ?

If you are very lucky your Satnav may be made aware of the blocked road and advise you to change direction before you get onto the blocked road.

You are driving along a road. According to the map, it goes to a cliff near Beachy Head. There is nothing there.

You tell your passengers you are taking them to a shopping centre and restaurant and that they will all receive £100 for going there.

Your passengers look through the windows and look at the map and realise that what you told them was not true.

You insist on driving towards the cliff.

It becomes obvious to everybody that there is no shopping centre and no restaurant.

You refuse to stop and look at the map.

You are Boris Johnson.

It's sad to see the depths that loyalist will stoop to defend their party. The emperor does not have any clothes on.

That's such a poor analogy, but I suppose anything to convince yourself to continue supporting this shambolic Government.

But humouring you, a U-turn means to turn back, so you are saying to go back to the start then?

Wasn't it Maggie Thatcher who was regularly slagged off for not changing her policies.
Some of her favourite slogans were "U turn if you want to" and the "Lady is not for turning".
Boris's U turns could be a sign he listening to the public.

Some U turns are because of new information coming to light. Those shouldn't be criticised too much.

But when you've got a lot of decisions that are being made and the walked back then it is a sign of poor decision making process. The one thing that Boris is supposed to be good at is reading an opinion poll. Misreading the public mood on NHS surcharge and free meal vouchers is just odd.

Maybe Boris is just one of those people who likes to be popular and says things he shouldn't.

If you want to make excuses.

It is more a manoeuvre carried out when you discover you're going the wrong way.

Yes, that is what normal human beings do, everyday, on a regular basis.

One hopes that experience allows you to do this less often.

But having no experience of this virus, means many mistakes will be made.

Labour and lib dem can't even manage a u turn more of a swerve and a few skid marks... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

6. Primaru School kids back to School

Yes, all and sundry on here complained that kids should NOT be sent back to school before Sept, the N.U.T said the same and many teachers said the same.
Now all and sundry are complaining that kids are not being educated and missing out on school dinners.
There was some commie teacher on the radio earlier, whining that money was being given to private tutors whereas the money would serve better purpose being given to schools. Even Jeremy Vine had the sense to say to the daft mare 'but schools won't open, what's the point of giving them extra money'.

no they arent.

the govt set a date to return without working out the implications of 2 metre distancing would have on class sizes.

the unions set 5 tests to ensure safe working:

Test 1: Much lower numbers of Covid-19 cases
The new case count must be much lower than it is now, with a sustained downward trend and confidence that new cases are known and counted promptly. And the Government must have extensive, open and transparent arrangements in place for testing, contact tracing and isolating those with Covid-19 symptoms.

Test 2: A national plan for social distancing
The Government must have a national plan in place which includes parameters for both appropriate physical distancing and safe levels of social mixing in all further education settings. To help ensure physical distancing during travel and at colleges, all staff and students who can work and study from home must continue to do so.

Test 3: Comprehensive testing
Comprehensive access to regular testing for students and staff, with isolation for all suspected cases, to ensure colleges don’t become hotspots for Covid-19. In addition to routine testing, protocols to be in place to ensure testing across whole college sites and other non-college work-based learning sites whenever a confirmed case of Covid-19 occurs.

Test 4: A whole college strategy for health and safety
Risk assessments and safe ways of working for all tasks and spaces within a college should be established with relevant staff and unions in advance. This should include regular deep cleaning and stringent hygiene measures. Where PPE is identified as required by risk assessments, supplies of these are secured before re-opening of affected areas. Strategy to be clearly communicated to all stakeholders.

Test 5: Protection for the vulnerable
Vulnerable staff, and staff who live with vulnerable people, must work from home, fulfilling their professional duties to the extent that is possible. Plans must specifically address the protection of all staff, students and members of their households who are vulnerable to Covid-19.
