Its a Honeywell Accenta G4 panel, Iv never wired an alarm before. If someone who knows about alarm systems could check it for me Id really appreciate some help. I have not powered it on yet, when the battery is connected the bell box sounds which I understand it is supposed to as the cover is not on the panel at that point and you have to put the cover on and reset it with the code. I thought however before I go any further Id check a few things.

I'm not sure about the bell box. The terminals on the bell box don't correspond with the terminals on the panel. On the bell box I have ST-, R-, SW-, and + -. But in the panel, I have this:

On the Bell box I used White for the Strobe and Green for the Sound (wired to the panel as in above pic)

On the PIR's I used Blue and Green (polarity important?) and White and Yellow for the tampers

On the LCD Panel I used Blue for the Coms and green for the Sound

Here is pics of the rest of the wiring

If someone can have a look and tell me if this will work I'd be extremely grateful.

Thanks very much :)

first mistake I can see is you've connected all the tampers in parallel and not in series for the zones.

Hi, Paulj48. Can you please elaborate? I understood that each PIR had its own sperate cable from it to the board. How would you wire them in series if this is the case?

Cheers

If the system only has a global tamper circuit then you'll need to use a connector block in the panel enclosure to create a single series circuit.

So basically connect the white from the first PIR into the board and then the yellow to the next pir's white in a block, and repeat until i get to the yellow of the last PIR and connect that in the board?

Can anyone else tell me if this looks correct, please? Especially the bell box.

Cheers

Panel Bell

Bell + +
Bell - Sw-
SCB A -
SCB T R-
Strobe - ST-

On the panel the SCB pins are not labelled A or T, they are both just SCB. Does this mean these connections are not polarity couscous?

Cheers

you sure they're not marked A and T? I'm sure I can see a T on your first picture, cant quite make out the A but I bet its there, under the yellow and green wires?

As above, the A and T is directly below the terminal block. It's essential you connect them as I've described in my post as the A and T terminals do different things (A is the permanent negative supply to the bell box, T is the tamper return from the bell tamper switch)

OK. I changed the wiring for the bell box in the panel today. I know have this:

This is the wiring inside the bell box:

The manual says that on initial power up with tge cover open on the panel, the amarm should go off, which it does, it then says to put the code into the LCD panel which should be reading as tamper due to the cover being off the panel. However, my LCD panel only ever says acenta g4 when the battery is connected....

I put the cover back on to close the tamper circuit. Back to the LCD panel, enter engineers code, still nothing. The panel doesn't change. It just says acenta g4 blah, blah. The whole time the alarm is sounding. The LCD panel's LEDs dont light up either.
It doesn't seem to matter if I turn on the mains supply or not.

Here is what I have for the board at the panel:

And this is at the LCD panel itself:

I could really use some help on this, stuck for ideas and pressure is on to get it on.

Cheers

Are you entering the user code first? Power the system up, enter the user code (0123) and close all lids on the system. Enter the user code again and press reset and the system should be clear. Wiring looks OK on the bell and keypad.
