X Trail Wiper motor replacement

Hi Guys

back again for a bit of feedback

the Wiper Motor on the 08 X Trail is playing up a bit intermittent wiping , parking in odd positions etc

how easy is it to replace it , had a quick look tonight in the dark & im guessing it’s under the plastic cover between the Windscreen & Bonnet

any tips on changing one or tips to fix & how easy is it

I haven't done this job on the X Trail, but have on the Note and Micra.....maybe they are similar.
The wiper motor and linkages are under the plastic cover - carefully does it as you remove the brittle plastic rivets!
The wiper arms were difficult to shift from the tapered spline but eventually gave up. I marked the blade position on the screen with a layer of masking tape.
I had to lift out the linkage complete with the motor as the motor was buried beneath them - no issues with that one. Do clean out any drain holes when you are in there, and good luck with the job!
