the whole ultra diversity gov thing didn't work out too well. We're going to need the best person for the job, even if they are middle aged, male, straight and white. Not very cool I know
I don't think Rishi Rich Boy would be that bad of a choice, a bit out of touch with reality, but he seems intelligent and principled which is a rare commodity in the modern day tories.
Hopefully the MPs are not mad enough to pick Boris again, but you never know.....

We might as well just call time on this country if Boris Johnson finds his way back to No.10... it's basically admitting we're done as a nation and don't care anymore.
Is there no one in the Tories who is an actual competent, intelligent and capable candidate to run the country who actual has some kind of credentials and plaudits outside of politics?

Quite impressed by Hunt (I know he's not standing), who has quietly and simply done what was necessary without managing to upset anyone much. GIven the circumstances, thumbs up.
Has to be Sunak now. We needs someone clever with the economy. No 10 or no 11 would do. I heard him being interviewed - can't remember who was doingit but it was one of those very astute people (cleverer than politicians, usually). Sunak just answered him. Fully. All the detail, yes he knew about x,y,z, he'd costed it, and so on. A brilliant no2 guy.
That Defence chap would be a nice boring grey suit presence to be at the tiller.

Health needs a Medical Doctor, I think there's a couple. European doctors can't understand why we're making such a horlicks of the NHS, with the money they use.. Someone needs to diagnose and amputate or get a prosthetic in. If we need to build a load of Traveldodge style places to put hospital-exiting patients in, fine, Do it, and charge them.

I don't mean to be sexist but so far none have ever held a candle to her Maggieness and I doubt ever will.
Also none of those prats that currently work in the houses of Parliament nor the commons etc. please.

Hmmm. The chancellor had a meeting with fund managers and Mogg on budget day, then some people trigger a selling of the pound, then some people start buying it back cheap.
Hmmmm.
Since then, he's blamed everybody other than the budget for the problems, which is odd in itself.
I guess he didn't amass 100 million quid by putting either the people or the country first.
