Is there nothing that someone, somewhere, will percieve to be a potential cause of the end of civilisation as we know it, ffs?

I don't recall this item of clothing ever resulting in large amounts of death and serious injury over the years.

What is up with this country? Who comes up with this shi'ite? Why the hell do we slavishly follow its doctrines? Why are we so apathetic as to the prognosis of this island eventually being populated by 63 million nancys?

we have to protect our litle barstards sorry children and stop them from hurting themselves or others!
this is exactly why when they leave school they know F all about anything and can't stand on there own feet or think for themselves

Personally, I can't see a problem with clip-ons. They are a must when working. If caught, they just pull off. If your job involves security, your tie cannot be used against you, again it will pull off.

In school too, I can see a clip-on being useful. When I was at secondary school (1977-83), we had to take ours off for all science lessons, wood & metalwork & cookery.

It's all to do with suicide.

You mean to tell me that by taking a persons tie away renders them unable to commit suicide? Maybe, just maybe even a child with a modicum of intelligence could find summat else if he really wanted to, don't you think?

Calm down dear's! Look, we've stopped wearing one all together!

It's a 'tipping point' moment. Spur of the moment. Tie off, over a branch and 'bingo'.

It's in the report why they are being introduced, it's to smarten up and regulate the appearance of the uniform.

Just because an accident hasnt happened yet doesn't mean it won't happen, better to be safe than sorry as its too late after the event.

And i thought school kids could only die from swallowing chewing gum .
