Yorkshire Water - damaged pipe!

Hi Guys -

Just got in from work today and there's a letter from yorkshire water suggesting that I, along with 6 other neighbours are liable for a damaged pipe along our terrace.

They have given us 14 days to fix the leak, or they will complete the works and charge us accordingly. However they've not given us an estimated price, or even any details of what the issue actually is?!

Has anyone heard of this before? Is it normal?

they will inform you of the price or phone them to enquire.

your house insurance will useally cover it.
